PHASE I PRE-SITE CONSULTATION:
|
|
1. Consultation
Prior to our initial consultation we will provide you with a
shortdesign survey you can fill out online (LINK) or we can
work with you to complete the survey over the phone. During
our first consultation (either via phone or in-person) we listen
while you talk about your vision for your future website.
We'll determine the approximate number of pages, graphics and
images your website will need and the availability of content.
This will enable us to provide you with a free price quote for
your website. Every site is different and will vary in price
depending on its size and complexity. Costs can range from $200
for a basic "business card" page to $3,000 for a complex,
many-page, e-commerce site.
We will also discuss domain name registration and web hosting
options. If necessary we will do the required research to register
your name and locate a web hosting company for you. |
| |
2.
Proposal
A written summary of required work including a preliminary site
map defining the project thus far, will be provided. Following
a review of the proposal, we will make any required changes
to the proposal and mutually agree upon an acceptable fee and
timetable for the project. Signing off on the proposal at this
point simply confirms that both parties are in agreement as
to the scope of the project. It does not create an obligation
on your part to continue with the developmental project. Example. |
| |
3. Letter of
Agreement.
A Letter of Agreement will be prepared that will serve as the
development contract. The contract will be continent upon your
approval of the updated site map and design compositions (comps)
that will be provided during the next step in the process (Design
Concepts). If you do not approve the site map and/or comps,
we can either elect to redesign the comps and/or site map or
end the relationship without further obligation to either party.
Letter of Agreement Example.
|
| |
4. Design
Concepts
During this step we will create three (3) one-page design comps
for your site. These will normally be provided for your review
within one week’s time. Design comps are example designs
that will demonstrate different functional and creative approaches
to your site - site navigation, look and feel, etc. Our goal
is to agree on a creative direction that will serve your marketing
goals and be as engaging to your site visitors as possible.
Depending on which is more convenient, we can either meet
in person to review the design comps and site map or we can
send you the files, via email, for your review. We can then
schedule a time to discuss the concepts and any necessary
design changes via the telephone.
Remember, if at this point you are not satisfied with the
proposed design and do not wish to continue, you are under
no obligation whatsoever to continue and there will be no
fee.
However, upon your approval of the design compositions and site
map, the terms of the Letter of Agreement (contract) will become
effective and a fee of 30% of the total project fee will be
due and payable.
Fee: 30% of total project fee will be due and payable following
approval of design compositions and site map.
|
| |
5. Content
Once the design is approved, we will then mutually decide on
which images/photos are to be used and where. Page content will
also be addressed more specifically.
|
| |
PHASE II PRE-SITE DEVELOPMENT |
|
During this phase of
the project we will build a working version of the site. Once
it is built, it will be uploaded to a working server for testing,
client review, proof reading and approval.
Fee: 30% of total project fee will be due and payable following
testing and client approval.
|
| |
PHASE III LAUNCH SITE |
| |
When any required revisions are complete and the
site is approved the site will be launched to the client's web
host.
Fee: 30% of the total project fee will be due and payable once
the site is launched and operational.
Congratulations! Be sure to tell your customers about your new
Web site by displaying your web address on your business cards,
letterheads, print ads and other media.
|
| |
PHASE IV POST-SITE |
| |
1. Search Engine Submission.
Search engines are the mechanism in which individuals locate
your site on the Internet. Your site will be coded based on
the search criteria for each of these search engines.
Fee: The remaining 10% of the total project fee will be due
and payable upon the completion of the initial submission
of your website to the search engines.
Websites are submitted every 2-3 months to major search engines.
This will help keep your website prominent in the search results.
Keep in mind that it can take anywhere from several weeks
to several months for your website to become a regular result
in the search engines.
There will be a charge of $25 for each search engine submission. |
| |
2. Maintenance |
| |
Your site is maintenance-free until you desire
changes and additions. At that time we can determine a monthly
maintenance fee or charge you an hourly fee (minimum of one
hour). |
